Painting the Moving Subject

Capture the gesture. Capture the Life.

Infuse energy and life into your portraits by learning to paint from a moving subject.  This course teaches participants how to distill the most important information in capturing their subject, the order to most effectively work to compensate for adjustments, and the necessary anatomical understanding that will assist in these goals.  Each week will have a different subject and painting (two children and one adult, total). While there will be some instruction about color mixing, a basic understanding is recommended. 

This online Zoom course will take place over 3 Tuesdays.  Participants can watch the lecture/demonstration and ask questions.  They will have optional homework (a filming of the same model and pose used in the demonstration), which they can submit for critique.
