Painting the Child Portrait

Master Realism. Create Something Timeless.

Dive into techniques that allow you to master not only realistic child portrait painting, but the elements to create a timeless work of art. In this weekly online class, students will learn fundamental anatomical knowledge that aids in the child portrait, concepts that separate a picture of a child from one that explores the deeper and more timeless qualities of a child portrait, and the methods that Timothy uses to execute his paintings.  Color, anatomy, and paint application are all concepts reviewed in this course.  The demonstrations will be from photos, and students are encouraged to utilize their own child reference photos for their assignments (references will be supplied, if needed).

This online Zoom course will take place over 3 Tuesdays.  Participants can watch the lecture/demonstration and ask questions.  They will have optional homework, which they can submit for critique each week.
